Rose Marie's began in the front of the family home at 1024 Lincoln Avenue in Evansville, Indiana over 50 years ago. Started by Rose Marie and Leo Hillenbrand, the small gift shop helped support their missionary sons.Rose Marie would often say that we have "gifts you love to give," and the shop quickly grew from a neighborhood store to a city-wide mainstay for years to come. Shoppers came from far and wide to find the perfect and one-of-a kind gifts that only could be found at Rose Marie's.After many years, son Bill Hillenbrand took the helm of the family business. Bill and his wife Linda have owned and operated the shop for the past 39 years. After outgrowing the original building in 1991, the shop moved across the street into the historic Boehne family home. July 2008 Rose Marie's moved yet again and celebrated their 50th Anniversary at the new east side location inside Lea Matthews Furniture and Interiors. Many of the same faithful customers still shop at Rose Marie's.Store Hours: Monday-Thursday 10-6 Friday 10-7 Saturday 10-6 Noveber & December Sunday 12-5
